Local company is looking to hire part time seamstress with experience in production, sewing samples, cutting and great with industrial sewing machines.
This person needs to be able to look at a pattern, cut out the fabric (cut tickets) and sew it together. Our clothing is mostly knits at this point, wovens will be coming in the future; knowledge in both is preferred. Please note, you must be able to sew t-shirts (multiple collar types), polos, sweatshirts, button up's, shorts, pants, etc. We DO NOT produce swimwear, complex outerwear or pieces of that nature at this time.
You will be asked to bring samples you've sewn, as well as will be asked to sew basic pieces to show competency with industrial sewing machines. All sewing machines are on site.
Machine knowledge: coverstitch, serger/overlock, and basic single needle.
Initial task will be to produce samples of new clothing pieces and maybe some small run production, 10-50 units. Must speak some English and be able to communicate effectively.
Pay will be determined based on your experience and efficiency. We will match or beat industry standard wage ($15+), which will be determined after skills are analyzed. This is part time to start on trial basis. Location is near 120th & Quebec. Friendly, small company with relaxed work environment.
Thank you.
